Route 1 release 3.0
for Microsoft Windows 3.1
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Welcome to Route 1. Here are some brief instructions to get you started.
There is a help file included with Route 1 that explains all of its features,
and how to use them. I strongly recommend looking over the help file, even for
veteran Route 1 users, so that you can take full advantage of Route 1. It
explains how to access SubMenus, create scripts, and contains useful hints and
shortcuts. Help is accessible through Route1 by pressing [?] in any menu,
dialog box, or Route 1 window.
TO INSTALL ROUTE1:
Select Run... from Program Manager's File menu, and type:
d: install
where d: is the disk drive containing the Route1 installation files.
IF YOU ARE A PREVIOUS USER OF ROUTE 1:
Version 1.x - your Route1.INI is NOT compatible with version 3.0.
Version 2.x - your Route1.INI IS compatible with version 3.0, and you
might want to back it up or rename it before installing the
new version.
Note: Make sure that your old copy of Route 1 is not running when you run
the installation program. For best results, delete all of the old Route 1
files, except for any configuration (INI) files, icons and scripts you may
have created.
TO SETUP ROUTE 1:
Add Route1 to a Program Manager or Quick Access group as you normally
would, or have Route1 appear when Windows is loaded by adding it and its path
to the lines in WIN.INI starting with Load= or Run=.
If you would like Route 1 to be the system shell, start Route 1, and
select Options from the Config menu. Press Advanced... , and click the last
entry, Make Route 1 the System Shell , so that it is checked, and press
Accept. To do this manually, refer to ROUTE1.HLP. I hope you enjoy and use
Route 1.
